Oh I could type all day with mistake and silly errors,
from the simple of leaving the prop sock on in Mercury Hamble and wondering why the response was terrible until bits of red plastic and elastic started to float away.
or how about a chip supper in Torquay inner harbour the first year the tidal barrage was in place. Entry was fine but exit a little difficult with a large barrier petruding from the water. Wife and 2 kids under 10 with the car/trailer in Teignmouth and 8pm low tide on Aug bank holiday Sunday. After hours of dilberation we decided on a bus to retrieve car and then drive back for boat. But the inner harbour ramp is smack bang in the middle of 3 pubs and next to a very large weatherspoons, You can image the grief & abuse I got at 11PM recovering a boat and moving tables, chairs and drunks to get to the ramp.
or how about cutting the corner at Hamble and wondering why I could see the bottom- crunch
Or reversing off the side of the ramp at Bucklers hard on a falling tide, 2 wet kids n wife 1st May B/H (son number 2 birthday) hotel in poole with high tide at midnight. = long drive, pissed off family, tired kids, me walkigng thru a wedding party in shorts n wellies cos I'd given up the will to live by 1.30am to get to bed.
Ahh the memories............ I dont want to sell up & I'll go down fighting so can I have many more happy F'ups
