Wondering why i bothered?

by shibbs » 25 Jun 2016, 14:08

As the title says really! I'm really wondering why i bothered with the expense of putting the boat in this year, we've nearly hit July and I've been out 3 times, 2 of which were literally just for the sake of a ride up the river. We have not had one day out as a family yet!!
And to top it off, it's chucking it down again all weekend!

Anyway, rant over. Seems you made a wise move Colin!

Its the luck of the draw. Its been great weather for me all season and this weekend is shite but thats cool because Im still recovering from a heart op I had on Wednesday . You got to plan these things you know :D

You have a heart??? Seriously though Bruce, I hope it all went well and you fully recover.

Don't despair Stu, Bruce has summed it up, its the luck of the draw. plus we seem to get calmer weather later in the year now. :D

Modern medicine rocks. 2 stents in 45 minutes and an hour later I was chaffing at the bit to go home. Haven't felt this fit and good in a long time.

Also you have to be positive about going out in the boat and not be put off or worse than that put yourself off

My last 2 trips out. Including yesterday afternoon the forecast was a bit iffy but took a punt and worked out ok. Yesterday was v windy but stayed on Southampton water and it was not too bad at all. So far, so lucky.
