BBC is split between unsettled and unsettled and Accu Weather claim sunny but broken cloud, Were hoping for a 6pm crossing from Mercury and then a day in the solent on Sat if its nice then who knows -

big unknown is the cold n miserable sky's though - as usual :o

We're going to see what the weather is on the day - Saturday is looking likely, may just potter up to Newport and have a beer and BBQ then head home at dusk..

not sure 'nearby' is a french word but I get the gist. :D

very poor weather forecasting again for us, I find the BBC way to detailed in specifying local events over say a 3 day period. Cowes was to be sunny but S/ton & coastal areas in rain now they've caught up together & on the grounds that Sunday is a washout totally theres little point in the trip given the distance we have to go to get into Newport at 8pm. With the weekends available ahead it looks like it will be November before we have a trip out on the coast. I'll have to go it alone midweek if I want to play boating anytime soon.

Heading to Poole tomorrow if anyone is around?

Will probably drop anchor in Studland and have a picnic on the boat.
