That was quick

Having had a lovely day out yesterday with my brother in his little 16 foot Fletcher he and his wife said they would like a Bow Rider. So I got home and looked on Ebay. A longish drive today to the Midlands (10 hour round trip) and I managed to get them this beauty. Now got to do the odd little job on her for the rally. I am starting to think having 5 Fletchers might be considered too many. The chap I bought it from was a lovely man and was still boating at the age of 82.

She is exactly the same as my Bow Rider (ADD2CART) a Fletcher 17 Arrowstreak GTO. She is in amazing condition

how did you manage to get 5 fletcher's? more so why?

+ Im guessing the list of jobs includes a new legal trailer board? (just being pedantic  )

Yes I have rather too many: Here is how it happened

1) Bought my first boat a 16 foot classic Fletcher hard bow with a 75 hp merc. Loved it and fell in love with it but soon realised I needed a bow rider.

2) At the same time my Brother wanted a boat so he bought a 16 footer like mine. I also bought a 15 footer to get the engine to put on my brothers. That is sold now though

3) Then I bought my 17 foot Arrowstreak GTO bowrider (Add2Cart) but loved my old 16 so much I have kept that

4) Then I wanted a boat with a cabin so bought the 19 GTS 'The Cure'

5) Then my Brother realised that he wanted a Bowrider hence the purchase yesterday

That makes the 5. Too many I know but when you consider I have paid less than the cost of one new 17 foot bowrider for the lot not too bad.

I will soon sell at least one of them

Dennis

PS I don't think the name 'The Cure' is working more like Add2Cart is in charge

I have now tilted the engine all the way up so you can see the board. Does that now make it legal. If not what is legal I need to know for the trip to Devon for the rally

Thanks

Not entirely, but because the rules are different depending upon age, and also for boat trailers as against other trailers, I would like to bet that if you asked 100 traffic police, all the answers would be different.

If you are able to extend it to the be the furthest to the rear i.e. behind the hi viz, then it'll be spot on. :)
