Navionics on Android

is the tab A the latest model the more £? I was going to go for a Sony something android phone that is water proof but at £170 I thought it was a bit pricey as I wouldn't use the phone bit just the Navonics app on board. Any advice on anything cheaper you looked at?

The one I got was in the Currys Easter sale Galaxy Tab A with a free Chromecast Audio. It was all £169. It is the one with the smaller memory 1.5GB but it seems to work very well. Well worth the money in my view and it is also a very good tablet. I think as good as my ipad 2. I did not research anything else............................ I am sort of like that and that is why my 17 foot boat is called Add 2 Cart

sounds good thanks, Ive got an iPad 2 which has died the death of apple updates so was going to use that but unless I jail break and mess around big time your right with the no hot spot GPS trick. no other way round it as far as I can see so I'll look into the android.
