Powerboat and Rib issue 132

by ian h » 25 Mar 2016, 20:26

Do not current purchase Powerboat and Rib Magazine but while down in Weymouth this week happened to pick up a copy for a quick browse.

Was just about to put it back on the shelf when came across the article " Unwins Odyssey" about Peter Unwins modifications to his Hunton 37.
His quest for more speed is amazing, I have to now buy the next issue as well for part 2.
I have come to know Peter over the last 8+ years and is a truly amazing person whom is not afraid to think outside the box,
The Wing for example on the front of his boat may not to be to everyones taste but it does serve a purpose,

Just by reworking is original props he gained 4mph ........... then he got carried away .......... There is a good write up on another forum about what he has done,

Who else subscribes to this mag ?? is it worth getting it on a regular basis ?

That is something for sure, And from a non stepped hull as well .
I know Peter also has a rear wing for the boat a bit like Fabio had on Red FPT
