Has anyone tried this?

Ultrasonic Antifoul

I've heard it can be expensive, but is it the answer for the sports boat owner who wants to keep their boat in salt water for a while?

Hasn't Dennis spent enough and you bring that up? :o

Snake oil. You still have to use AF with it so why go to the expense?

Except if you are not completely satisfied in 6 months they say they will give a full refund. Free antifoul!

They're desperate. Besides, if you want to park a couple of grand with me for six months, I will give it back to you too, in full, less any interest I make on it etc yadda yadda yadda.
Read the fine print and dont expect your labour and install charges back either. Nor the extra batteries and solar pannels and and and that you'll need to install just to keep the system running so your batteries dont go flat and cause your boat to sink in a sulk cos the bilge pump now stopped working. If they were so blimmin great every boat would have one on, probably demanded as factory spec, cos we all hate slapping on AF.......don't we? :?

But if you love going to bed with the hum of mosquitos in your ear you'll love these puppies....or so I'm told

Not heard of 1 system that actually does away with the need to antifoul as well,

Let others try then in a year or so if they still around then may be worth investing

They've been around for 10 years plus now. Created a big stir in 2008ish then fizzled out with a splut dud. I was ever so keen to get me one but could never find a positive review from anyone with them on for two years plus. Anybody who has just put one in is of course going to crow how bloody marvellous it is. It even makes breakfast ya know. Call me jaded but you get burnt so many times. Thereafter you deserve it.
