Amanzi being prepped for the journey on Thursday and waiting for the morning tide

We set off from Conwy on the rising tide to make passage through the Menai Starights and The Swellies to reach Caernarfon Bar on a single tide. Which is of course a race against time but we made it.
Menai Bridge

That evening we took anchorage off the south coast of Anglesey at Dinas Trefriw and fished pollack off the tender along the bluffs and cliffs

before returning to the boat with our catch and dinner. The following morning we set out into deeper water for tope and traversed the various marks around Caernafon Bay without success being continually dogged by Bull Huss and little dog fish who I was amazed to see capable of swallowing a whole mackerel with a size 8 hook

That evening was a quick run back to Conwy, through the straights again to the rising tide. Amanzi at cruise revs (3k rpm with WOT being 3.9k) She's pretty quick for an old tub.
After dropping my cousin off and picking up the wife and kids we headed back out to Dinas Trefriw for an overnighter and beach bbq
Jaw dropping beauty imo
Anchorage, which we had to ourselves until a yottie turned up for a bit of comfort
That evening the kids and Admiral fished for maccies

But at least we had the beach to ourselves

After a pleasant day we again raced the tide back exhausted but happy. It was an awesome weekend, so unusual for a bank holiday, just MAGIC!
