Lake Annecy pics

Great pictures, it really does look fantastic! Somewhere I really would like to go one day. Don't think I'd fancy towing mine all that way though.

At least with that poor weather the water is still flat calm!! :)

I worked for the company (Alcatel) that owned the Chateau at one end of the lake.
Originally built for the CEO. ... (he got jailed for fraud). They converted it into a training centre.
Great location,, own private jetty & dock.
Been wakeboarding on that lake.

I hate this time of year, Im always end up seeing pictures of some great place in France that I should have planned to go to but forgot about, then spend time looking on Google at how wonderful the place is only to forget over the winter and it all repeats next year. - Ground hog day for boating ? look great even with the fenders

LOL... book up now. Then you will not forget. Staying in a mobile caravan . Site right on the lake with its own pontoon moorings.. the site this week the mooring is just 75 euros. Thought this was pretty reasonable. Certainly compared to last week and when we used to go to Spain.

spurred on by your pics I proposed a last minute camping trip instead of our UK boating next week. All was going to plan with discounted ferry tickets and camping on a beach resort until I costed the toll charges :o dont think i would fancy a 13hr drive from Calais on toll free roads to save €80 each way then 4 hours the other side to home.

It would mean loosing out on the last of this years boat season, throwing more cash into a supposedly cheap get away. Im sort of upset but on the other hand but relieved as we'll be boating in the UK not watching others boat on a sunny Alpine lake. gutted now I knew I shouldnt have started looking

Yep. I need to cost it up but I think it has cost nearer 90 euros each way in tolls. You need to make a proper holiday of it to be worth while. We also stopped for 2 nights each way to break up the journey. I can't be doing with the long non stop drive I used to do to Spain. Found 2 nice airbnb for there and back that had space for the boat.
