Another weekend afloat - Where were we?

Absolutely loving it Bruce!! Getting plenty of practice with the anchor, so far no problems at all, and we've specifically chosen a few 'Non ideal' conditions to test it.

We haven't attempted an overnight yet though, although we did find a super bay over the weekend that looks like it will be very well protected from the prevailing SW that we tend to get around here.

We will definitely attempt it this summer, just trying to build up my wifes confidence slowly.

Download AnchorWatch for your smartphone or Tab. Start it up when you drop anchor and set your radius according to scope and max chain length at low water. Sleep peacefully. Set it to ring and alert wife's or your phone when you are ashore. BBQ peacefully. Best app I have ever downloaded for the boat. Even the occaissional false alarm has just reinforced my confidence and allowed me to go to sleep without fretting overtly over a wind or tide change.

Google play version. There is a version of this one for IOS too. Make sure its the same. I cant necessarily recommend any other without experience of them.

Very wet & windy here Ian. Just decided to postpone our next jaunt due to the weather. Looks like we'll be staying firmly attached to the pontoon this weekend.

However, we'll be aboard the boat so it's still brilliant!

I managed to launch again today. I'm in for the next month.
Was hoping to get out for the first time this weekend but the weather forecast isn't great to say the least.
I'd love to be able to spend the weekend on the boat in comfort without the need to go anywhere. Hope you have a good one Sprocker!

Cheers Stu, we ended up staying firmly attached to the pontoon this weekend, although the wine still tastes as good.....

Hope the weather stays kind to you for the coming month.

I think I'm going to give this weekend a miss for once. The sea looks right bloody awful at the moment. 4 days of F6 and rain has left me nowhere to scuttle behind and shelter. Just one confused mess
