med charter

by circo » 09 Jun 2017, 11:48

Hi All,
I'm new to this forum, and hope you all don't mind me jumping straight in with a question! Has anyone had any experience of running a charter boat in the med? I'm thinking of selling my Bavaria 37 and buying maybe a Fairline targa 43 to base in the med, use occasionally and charter when I'm not there to cover costs.

Any advice or opinions would be very much appreciated.
Bill

Welcome to the forum. No experience so cannot give a valid answer, but the consensus across the various forums is it doesn't really stack up on smaller boats. Have you considered reversing the equation and chartering yourself if time /cost is an issue, or even boat share?

thanks for the response, I've considered other options but I keep coming back to this one. Plus I like to own my boats, I like to tinker! But thanks for the input.

That I can appreciate. The two options I mentioned didn't sit well on my palate either.
