Raymarine sport pilot

by Crewman » 07 Jun 2017, 13:39

I have a 26' motor cruiser fitted with a Raymarine sport pilot. The operating stalk has a switch in the end to change from auto to nav which does not seem to operate.
I believe the sport pilot is now obsolete and the stalk is no longer available.
Does anyone know if there is a n alternative stalk which fits or is there an upgraded system which will integrate with the mechanics of the sport pilot.
I am obviously looking for the cheapest way round the problem.
i.e. everything seems to work other than the change over switch. Do you think it would work with a remote switch?

Hi crewman

So you bought a boat in the end? What is it, apart from a 26' motor cruiser? :)

I did a bit of Googling and found this forum. The last post explains that he took it apart and found the stalk inside had broken so he fixed it. Maybe you could try a bit of DIY?

Here's a link to a pdf Manual for it, but maybe you already have one. :)
