Matt, you had a very good reason for selling her and I'm sure, like Colin there will be a boat in the family at some stage in the future. :)

I walked down to the end of my road yesterday morning, it was flat calm and I thought, am I too fussy, should I just go out and buy a nice small late boat and get out there. There are plenty of S25's, Merry Fisher's, Beneteau Antares, or maybe even a late Jeanneau Leader 805's around, but then also, why are there so many boats for sale at either stupid asking prices or they are shit, or they are stupid asking prices AND they are shit?

So you're right, it's weekends like this that make me think I should compromise and buy something I really don't want. :?

Matt , shame you could not get out with us, it was a good day ! nice trip over to the hut few beers then a blast around to Yarmouth few more beers and nice meal in the wheatsheaf . glorious weather but a bit rough on the way back, got back just in time before it got dark with only just enough water to get back to mooring.
did have to laugh finding my mate up to his waist in muddy water after falling from his rib while mooring ..... yes of course alcohol was involved

Just came back from the SWSBR in Brixham. A weekend of excellent boating with about 23 other sports boats.

My advice is don't over analyse things just get a boat and go and enjoy. The number of summers in a persons life is not that large a number. I suspect most have more behind them than are in front of them. Go do it

Just do it Ian you know you wanna!

Yes I do appreciate the offer A it was very kind of you, hope your mate was ok, alcohol and water would could possibly go wrong. James kindly offered a trip out tomorrow but we are of camping for the weekend combined with a triathlon. I did find myself perusing the broker sites the other day but its too soon for me to get back into it yet.
