Great news Andy, tell me, has Reeds got it right, I notice you mentioned that there was a bit if a race, was the flow against you at that time?

Also, has your wife gained confidence as well?

We rounded PB exactly at high tide Ian, taking the inshore passage around 50 metres out, it was difficult to tell exactly what the flow was doing at that point.
The race was very evident at approx 100 meters out, and we also tacked North for 100 metres as we rounded PB before turning across Lyme Bay, to keep out of the race.

It turned out that my wife couldn't come with me after all, she had to go away on business yesterday afternoon, but luckily my nephew was in Southampton last week, so he agreed to come with me (He didn't take much persuading!)
