Good couple of days

by shibbs » 24 Aug 2015, 22:03

Last Friday we decided that the weather looked good and the wind seemed fairly low so thought we'd have a run over to cowes and have a late lunch / early dinner in the Folley Inn. After a nice run over we had a nice meal followed by a nice gently plod back up river and back across to Portsmouth.
Sea state was great and made for a lovely afternoon. Got a few pictures ...

Then on Saturday morning SWMBO was out for the day so me and my boys decided to go and have a day at Priory Bay beach, got over there nice and early and although it was a bumpy crossing, it was lovely at the beach.. Very hot too!!

Even got the SIB out for the boys to practise their rowing skills..

And then to top it, we had a very good display completely out of the blue by the one and only Vulcan again! :D

Even got to hear the roar of the engines under full load as it did some steep banked turns above us.
All in all, a really good couple of days!! 8-)

Two of them will be the 3rd and 4th Sept as I have two days off on my own :D :D

One day will be fishing out of Christchurch and the other will be doing what I want, hopefully out on the water.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for some more decent weather this weekend for you all then. I'm on call all week and weekend so I won't be out there, unless something is found in the solent, my work RIB is sat waiting... :D
