I registered on there recently just to read the posts really.
Never posted or paid too much attention.
I haven't read that topic, what's the long and short of what's gone on then? Won't let me view those links for some reason..

The main topic is that one of the guys from the forum viewed a boat in Italy with a broker. He agreed a price, read the contract and according to brokers rules paid a deposit, subject to Sea Trial and Survey.
He then employed a surveyor to undergo a sea trial and various tests. The original poster thought that the surveyors report deemed the boat was below standard, the broker would not negotiate, so he cancelled the deal and asked for his deposit back. The broker thought that his reasons were not valid, but had passed the deposit on to the owner, which according to the contract should have stayed with the broker. There are lots of other issues, but that it the crux of the matter.

In the closing stages something happened with some other members in another part of the forum, which resulted in some members being banned for various defamatory/slanderous posts.
