Sealine S24 Sports with a Kad32

by ColinR » 13 Jul 2015, 14:56

What do people think?

Image

Looks a bit top heavy but well kitted for the size.

30 knots easily and should be economical.

Well its not a Merry Fisher.

"Steve Dunstable" from the other place seems to have a lot of fun in his.

The S24 is the predecessor to the newer S23. They are very good boats with good accommodation and sea keeping see here for proof https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4URrxp-kJw .

Kad32 is the preferred choice of engine and don't forget these boats are still trailable with a big 4x4 see here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVik2fdtxn4

That is also the sort of boat I am thinking off in 2 - 3 years. Looks very nice indeed

Yep
S24 / S23 / S25 in that order.
Didn't put V8 in, mostly Volvo Diesel with the occasional 4.3. Later S25's had the Volvo D3 engine, but it has had some issues with the variable vane in the turbo sticking if the engine has never reached full power.

Just a thought at the moment, depending if a deal can be done.

I like the layout, it will cruise mid 20s and max just over 30.

Not a sports boat but with the windy weather we've been getting lately would get me out on the sea more often.

As Martin said, it's not a Merry Fisher which is still an option, again if the right one comes along.

I would take one across the channel :D :D
