Sadly no film despite us probably having lots of cameras onboard, just a very soggy dog wondering what she done to deserve being thrown into the sea.

I don't remember you loosing a camera, I thought it was just some sunglasses lost?

Video camera was in my pocket and was not a waterproof version at the time.

Oh I almost forgot...
On the old boat the drive leg when fully lowered would hit the floor, so, when recovering onto the trailer, it wasn't until the boat settled on the trailer as it went up the slipway that the horrible grinding noise would remind me that I had forgotton to raise it!
This became a regular occurance until the wife got wise and reminded me - every time!
Not so bad now, the trailer is higher so can get away with it. ( obviously I mean to leave it down now though.. )

MDL Torquay are quite relaxed about refueling at your pontoon berth, they just ask that you use a syphon/pump, otherwise they ask you to go to the harbour fuel pontoon if you are decanting using a funnel or spout etc.

I have tried to look at it from many points of view, but cant come up with a logical reason.

The HM isn't so accommodating! There was a HM Notice emailed out a couple of months ago about refuelling in the harbour and spillages... IIRC you are allowed to fuel using suitable equipment, but spillages will be prosecuted and pay the cost of clean-ups

Hmmm, really worried now as reading these I can see I still have a lot of 'incidents' to come!

Worse I've done so far (in 5 years) is launch and the realise the keys were at home (2nd ever outing) and busy chatting to others on the slipway, left the bung out... That one I launched, moved around to the side of the slipway with friends (3 boats rafted) and parked up the car and trailer before a friend alerted me! He kindly leaned over and fitted in the water whilst I held the bilge switch on! (non-auto) Embarrassed to say that that was only last year

2 years ago, burning out a clutch on a new tow car on a shallow ramp in the middle of Tourist town with wheels pinning, I never realise how much a clutch burns and how long it lingers/ stinks. Trying to cool the engine the bonnet catch failed (never did before or since), enveloping the assembled crowd in white clutch & tyre smoke with betty 10 meetres away stuck on the trailer mid river when one wheel went in a riverbed pot hole. Had to be rescued by a Rav 4 driver ( how embarrising) Ms B wont go back to Ely slipway now even though we have 4x4 & I still have nightmares.

come on you light weights theres more youve done than pull a kill cord off by accident (either that or Im really cr#p at boating )
