Door to door, from Rutland to Cobbs, is about 3.5 hours whilst sticking to speed limits but can take much longer on a Friday afternoon! Can seem a long while in the car but, even if only staying for a weekend, it's quickly forgotten after the first G&T!

I feel your pain Centaur. I live in Stourbridge, which takes me 2.5 hours to Southampton. Worse on a Sunday with only work to look forward to the next day.

Lovely boat, worth all the travel I bet.

If you like Marks Sessa then you might want to talk to James, apparently he has a couple appearing for sale soon!

Nice boat.

I would have though you should get better fuel economy than you describe but cruising at 25 knots or perhaps a bit less should be your target for fuel economy.

First time I've seen this post Mark. Very very nice boat. Hopefully see it in GRP next season.

3,000rpm gives 22kts @ 46 litres/hr or 2.2 Nmpg.

I recently topped the tanks up and averaged 11.4 litres/hr and 2.8 Nmpg overall. That's the lowest litres/hr and, apart from an 18' Monterey with a 3.0L engine, better Nmpg than I've achieved in any of my previous petrol powered sports boats. Factor in the cheap diesel and I think that that is a pretty good result!

We will (hopefully) be down in Poole a fair bit again next year, so drop by if you are around that way. Have you got any further with your own boat search yet?

That's more like it. Better than my kad32's.
