I have a Sevylor Hudson inflatable 3 man kayak. It's very nice, but I only really use it on holiday and even then, there;s only normally me in it - the kids aren't interested. It's not meant for surf either.

I'd love a 2 man rigid kayak, but after trying to pick one up in Decathlon, I decided it would have to be a 1 man kayak. Maybe 2 of them, but there's no way I could lift a 2 man kayak on my own on to a roof rack. They are surprisingly heavy. My Seylor Hudson 3 man will do for family trips and I'll just get a one man for playing on the beach. I like the look of the one you posted, but outside my price range since it's only for occasional use...

That's a damn good point - I was looking at a 2 seater that converts to 1 as it'll be mostly just me, but just occasionally me+dog or me+ mrs and I hadn't given a thought to the weight! Best head over to Decathlon and try it...either that or start on the energy drinks...
