Renamed to Paddle Forum

by Nick » 19 Apr 2015, 19:51

You may have noticed I've just renamed it to the Paddle Forum to cover the World's fastest growing water sport: Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boards.

And I'll kick it off with a couple of pics of mine which I got from Boatworld: http://www.boatworld.co.uk/sail-surf-su ... -carve-sup

Just tried it for the first time this weekend and it was a blast. A lot of fun balancing on it - I only fell in twice (12'c) and a lot more maneuverable than my inflatable kayak as well as being a lot lighter. Of course it's a solo boat whereas my kayak seats 3. But it was loads of fun.

The first 2 pics are of my SUP on the River Dee near Chester

The 3rd pic is of my kayak on the River Lune near Lancaster.

Looks great fun .... .. having just been on a Segway which involves lots of balancing, .. I reckon I'd be ok at this stand up paddle thing
