Thought about how to do it .... instructions, and youtube vids have a couple of you trying to hold it upright in place and mark hull with felt pen .... figured too unreliable to hold it in right place - too high chance of scratching the boat.
So rigged up some scaffolding .... scaffolding tower on the left, and a ladder ratchet strapped to a concrete fence post on the right. A 4x2” across the top, cable tied to scaffolding.
Then ‘hung’ the tower by a pair of ratchet straps and ‘wound up’ until clear of boat, then reversed boat under it.
Allowed getting it to exact position with no need to hold the weight.
On a FourWinns they have fibreglassed in thick strengthening pieces for fitting a tower, plus already wired out a Deutsch Connector for Nav light, they also have presided for speakers and spotlights if you want to add to a Tower. (Nice of them)
It’s then a question of drilling 4 holes for mounting bolts, lots of thought, actual work not too hard.
Putting 4 x 13mm holes through a nice new boat is certainly a buttock clenching moment, measure 10 times then drill once.
You run drill backwards through Gelcoat so its doesn't crack.
