Working in the Tent

by Bigplumbs » 13 Mar 2020, 08:36

We have a new to us Fletcher 19 Arrowhawk Bowrider with a 200 hp V6 Yam on the back.

She needed a little work and I was feeling a little stir crazy because this winter seens to be very long and wet.

I therefore spent £400 and bought a good quality Dancover 6 x 3 m party tent and put it up over the boat and have done many jobs in it.

The tent is very light and airy inside and has withstood the many storms and winds we have had just lately.

For me it is the best £400 I have recently spent. Many hours in there tinkering away where I would not have been able to do anything outside

One of the Jobs I did was to recover the old dash in 3 M Di Noc. Quite pleased with the result

The lovely thing about the tent is you can do a little work, leave all you tools etc out and walk away and come back later of the next day without having to worry about the weather

A nice idea. I’d really like to have something like that to go over mine.
As you say, great to be able to get on with stuff without having to pack everything away each time you finish for the day.
On a separate note... is that another new boat?? What’s the count now? :D
