Southampton Boat Show

If you're there reasonably early you can park at the nearest car park (Marlands). It is only £5 per day and 2 minutes walk from the show.

There's a Park & Ride from Swanwick Marina. I think it's £13 per person including coach ride and entry to show.

I'll be going either this Friday failing that it will be the last day of the show.

Anyone know if it's doable by boat as that might be an option but I don't remember seeing an visitors berths before?

I asked the same about visiting by boat but it seems that going to the boat show by boat is not doable

Makes sense if you think about it, apart from the logistics of hundreds of boats wandering in and out there would be more visitors than show boats!

we have found berthing at Ocean Village (or Town Quay its even closer) for a couple of nights and wombling into the boatshow is a really pleasant way to do it...but we did book yonks ago to make sure we would get a berth. Got a bit nervous with all the talk about it being full, but phoned up to confirm and all is well...apparently....we will see tomorrow afternoon....

I can just imagine that car park scenario where everyone ignores the 'car park full' sign and drives up too the door and then has to turn around squeezing past the next one that ignored the sign and so on and so on ................

Then there'd be the 'mines bigger than yours and mine should be at the front' brigade.

Well James is there, setting up the boats. Might get some preview reports from him later.

Remember to say hello to him if you are going!
