WOW thats really quite something, unfortunately for me we moved from a garden almost that size 2 years ago with Betty on Grass and that would have been just what I was looking for, now we have a garden just as big but with only alleyway access. - major downer :?

I have now got the ends on. I was a little held up because of the Christmas break and the winds we have been having. It has stood up to the winds very well and now the ends are on I think it will be even better

Here are a couple of pics

Fantastic Dennis, looks superb.

I'm sure there's enough air movement to dissipate condensation, maybe you have a drier climate than we do in Sussex. Even so, my barn is open at one end, as I said in an earlier post, my boat is on soil and, on certain days the hull is saturated.

If you lay down an old Tarp, it'll kill the grass quicker than the tent will, but it will keep your boat dryer. Having said all that, better than in the open. :)

Ian

Unfortunately the grass is very wet particularly at the moment. I will have to see how much condensation I get. When the ends were open I got very little but I suspect now I will get rather more. I will have to see. You idea of an old tarp on the ground should help. That might have to be something for next year because The ground is so wet now I don't want to churn it up to pull the boat out. This is all a bit of trial and error. The main reason is so I can work on the boat under the cover.

I am going to put a light in the tent today as It was quite dark in there. It would have been nice if Dancover had welded in some clear PVC panels

I was a lovely day today so we went to the tent. Not sure if it was just the day but it was lovely and dry inside despite the ground being very wet. I have now got some electricity via an extension lead to the tent and a couple of lights in there. Another bonus is I can pick up Mun's WiFi from inside the tent. I can easily stand up in the boat

I am off work till Monday so will start a couple of jobs tomorrow

Here is a pic from inside

Here is what I bought:

http://www.dancovershop.com/uk/product/ ... g-pvc.aspx

£825 delivered with a free gift of ratchet hold downs and safety pegs. It is 500g/22 PVC which is also quite good fabric with doors at both ends.

I have bought a dancover before and they are very good. Lets hope it is ok against the wind. The smaller one I have is

Good luck with the winds.

I was worried about that but it is holding up very well indeed and there have been some very strong ones for it to contend with and it has been up for 3 weeks now. I have a lot of holding down on it however.
