Soooooo Different

by Bigplumbs » 07 Aug 2016, 09:08

Now this year I have mainly been out in my 19 foot Fletcher GTS and have been enjoying it a lot now that there is a little growth on the bottom my top speed with the 3 ltr mercruiser is about 25 knots.

Went out yesterday in my 17 foot fletcher bow rider with 3 mates and did some tubing and racing around both out at sea and in the river. With the 4 on board and the Merc 115 outboard I was roaring around at about 37 knots.... We had a lovely day and think I just love that extra speed and the fun you get in a small open boat. I have reinvigorated the love for my 17 footer.

Nice to have both but oh how I wish there was more time to enjoy them.

Interesting post Dennis.

Do we want fast fun or a sit under the stars and fall asleep in the cabin from time to time?

That is exactly the question I have in my mind. I thought I was the latter but after yesterday I wonder.
