Many thanks. This is all giving me confidence. Would be nice to hear from Anna but she is all flappy things now. Doesn't love us any more :)

On Spirit, we had what you describe happen once - It was after some shallow water operation up the top of the Medina river on the IOW (freeloading on the Isle of Wight Festival!).

Engine temps seemed a bit higher than normal and seemed to increase linearly with load. Turned out it was a clump of weed on the inlets on the leg - it was letting water get through, but not very much (but thankfully enough to keep the impeller happy). With the leg up in the trailer position, and lying down on the swim platform, I was able to unclog it, and the temperature held steady there after.

I can't remember the exact temperature we ran at - I don't think I ever looked at the numbers - I just know the needle was just past half way under anything but river speeds (when it was about a quarter way up) - oh, and our gauge is the same Quicksilver one as yours, so my arbitrary temperature values should apply to you too.

Many thanks Anna that is a helpful comment. I will have to have a look around the leg from the tender and see if it is clogged.
