Now if you were to read my first post I was asking about the cost of fuel. Nothing else.

The trick is to try and answer the question that is asked not the question you have made up. The reason for this is I know the other costs but not the fuel costs.

So I've upgraded... Finally... Its still a Fletcher but its the bad-boy kick arse edition.. 21 Arrowbolt It's fitted with Mercurys 250hp 2 stroke torque monster.

I was along with a few here also at the Brixham SWSBR this weekend, the very first sea trial (!!!) I'll make another post about the boat but my stats are as follows:

154 miles covered.
331 Litres of fuel used.
2.17 MPG average. Best I got was cruising around 30mph at 1.6 litres per mile/2.84MPG
Overall average £2.42/mile.

Needs a bigger tank, as 130liters just isn't enough.

Not nearly as mental as my 170GTO with the 220hp (not sure anything ever will be), but still is a 55+mph boat.

I can use Red diesel at £0.65 per ltr

76p per litre on a 60/40 split

Crikey that is CHEAP diesel. We're on 90p/litre with 60/40 split & bertholder discount!

Dennis where do you find red at 65p/litre? I assume this is using jerry cans to fill?

I go to the thieving stewards at the marina. It's about the only thing they sell cheaply but that's because of the competition and the fact they can store huge volumes of it so can buy / transport it in much lower than the council owned diddy fuel pontoon which costs more in the region of 88 - 90p for the same. At least when I accosted the harbour office over the price discrepancy that was their excuse. For winter warm on a heating buy I paid 42p a litre

I take it all back. Last weekend was the season's first bunker. Took on ~ 750 litres at 92 p a litre on a 60/40 split. It's gone up for this season and got caught with my pants down. I will need to check Menai Bridge and Caernarfon prices to see if they are cheaper
