How dirty is your boat?

by Xboatboyx » 18 Feb 2015, 19:07

Went to clean the boat today and I'm always surprised at how quickly it gets dirty despite not going anywhere. The rear lockers are the worst on our boat as they are outside so any rain brings dirt inside.

Here is a before and after photo of our swim ladder locker

I must admit i have not properly cleaned the boat since last november as its been too cold for me to bother taking the covers off. Today was very pleasant in the yard and i think people are getting ready earlier this year because of the better weather and no floods. I don't do boat cleaning as my job now as just the one boat is enough, although I'm happy to crew and watch you clean as i sit there in the sun 8-) .

THATS DIRTY? - young man you havent lived yet.

I hold my head in shame that young Mandy spent 4 hours cleaning the cushions side walls 1/2 way through the summer let alone at the start.

one recommendation I would make is dont leave a glass of OJ in a cup hold and then tow her home. 3 weeks of autumn sunshine later and mother nature had done quite a good job of makingher own mess.

Hmm, in that "after" picture of the ladder cover there is still dirt along the right hand edge of the cover. I am going to have to get a better valet.

Nope haven't scratched it yet. I think its the rubbing marks on the hatch where it sits in the locker.
