Monterey 180 Edge

by Xboatboyx » 04 Apr 2015, 17:55

Here's the new addition to the fleet, meet Alloro a 2000 Monterey 180 Edge bowrider. Whilst she hasn't been looked after cosmetically her 3.0 litre mercruiser has been with full service history and more importantly it runs great starting at first turn of the key. I must say that this isn't my boat but its my sister's and her boyfriends. Over the next few weeks we will start the big clean trying to see if we can recover the gel coat and generally get it nice & tidy, also need to find a trailer for it. Anyway here's some pics in the mean time.

Let us know how you get on with the clean-up - the 180 is a boat that's on my list (if I ever escape new kitchens, bedrooms, ...)

The boat has come up really well since those last pictures. Here is what it looks like now (note the old graphics gone as they were past their time and now the boat has a trailer).

That looks really smashing James. The blue section of the hull previously looked oxidised, but you've really made a great job of it.

Good luck with the anti foul, how are you going to take it off?

Nice trailer by the way, looks in very good nick and looks like an Indespension Roller Coaster.

Good question as i'm not going to be the one doing it. Josh has bought some anti foul remover. I don't think its going to work or leave the finish he expects so it will probably have to be re anti-fouled in a nice white.
