We managed a short evening sail from Lymington to about a NM passed the Needles yesterday evening. The wind was weird and it just shows you that weather channels are not as accurate as often thought. I've always said that if they say F3 SW and we have low pressure, expect F4 from all angles, if it says F2 with high pressure then F1 or calmer.
Passed the Needles it picked up and we got some really good sailing in and with a little help from a sea breeze on the way back and with some tacking we made good way.
My son took his drone and got some great footage which I hope I can publish soon, but in the mean time here are a few shots.
