Powerboat Racing Forum

What have I done!!!

by _Ed_ » 18 Aug 2015, 01:32

Well in a state of madness, I and my mate Malc (who some here have met) have formally completed our powerboat race training... On September the 6th we are planning to enter our first race from Cowes to Poole and back.

It's all got a bit real. I'm trying to see if there is anyway I can get an on board camera to stream the race live.. At least you'll get a good view for a time of everything else probably leaving us behind...

That sounds great, good effort for doing it! Bet it will be great fun, by what I've heard in here from you over the last year or so, I think you'll fit in perfectly!!
Maybe we can have a forum meet to cheer you over the line!! 8-)

Sounds amazing and good luck!

Re: live streaming, does anyone know what the data connection is like on the water over that stretch? I know you can live stream go pro to iphone and use livestream app to broadcast but I think you would need 4g.

Can you make it the 5th instead of the 6th as I'm working!!

Well done Ed, that's a Fab boat. I'm assuming there will be different classes racing and you'll be in the 200hp class, is that right?

Anna, I'm pretty certain you'll get 3G, not sure about 4G though.
