FYI There is a service bulletin (Q393) out for all RRS/Disco 3 and 4 models using the detachable tow bar. There have apparently been 6 failures due to wear and all vehicles are to be checked as part of a routine service (ie. its not a recall). You should receive a letter but also dealers should be aware when a vehicle is serviced. You can book them in for a free check if you are not scheduled for a service.

They have also published specific advice to remove the tow hitch from the car when its not being used (I keep mine fitted :shock: :shock: :shock: )
