Anybody lost a boat in Poole?

by annageek » 04 Dec 2015, 21:24

OK... so it's a bit of a re-post from my post on ybw, but as it may actually affect someone...

Has anybody lost their Bayliner Cierra (don't know the number). Name is Rita's Fault.

We were driving through Sandbanks today, and saw said boat tied up against the side in Whitley Lake. There's not really ever any water under where she is even on a high spring, so moving will be difficult. There were some BIG orange ball fenders out (perhaps a bit bigger than you'd expect on a boat that size), suggesting a bit of a salvage job was under way?

It may of course just be someone who is very confident of (or ignorant of) their depths , and was just planning to spend a night there - who knows!

Well one broke free from its moorings in shell bay a few weeks back and ran aground but the news claimed it was going to be lifted out at a marina
