We finally did it....new boat on Saturday! Pics Added

by sprocker » 26 Jun 2015, 06:44

After many many months of research, and lots of 'thinking about it' we finally complete on our new boat tomorrow!

We had narrowed our choice down to a Merry Fisher 695, and were about to push the button on a new one, when we came across a used MF 645 in immaculate condition. Almost the same boat as a new MF 695, but a whole lot cheaper!

We do the handover tomorrow morning, and all being well and weather permitting, we will bring her around the coast from Plymouth to Torquay tomorrow.

Very exciting, and I'm sure there will be a few butterflies tomorrow.

The big question is though.....as she isn't a 'sports boat' will I still be allowed on the forum..........

Great news, know your excitement, I was like a kid at Xmas when I went to pick mine up.
Hope it's everything you want it to be and you have a good trip back on her!
Looking forward to the pictures...

I am so pleased for you, I bet you are like a dog with two tails at the moment. Well done that man.

What are you going to do with the Bayliner? Oh and any photos?? :)

The Bayliner sold straight away Ian, I spent a lot (LOT!) of time polishing/cleaning/tidying her up over the spring, she looked immaculate when we presented her for sale, so I was happy when she went without any pain.

'Dog with two tales' just about sums it up perfectly, just praying for some half decent weather for the run tomorrow so we can get her back to her home berth.

I'll take some photos over the weekend and post them. Would there be any chance of adding a 'Jeanneau' folder to the Members Boats by Manufacturer section?

Of course and there may be more than one in there future as well!!

I wouldn't be too worried about fine weather in the MF, it's a great all round weather boat, however I get where you are coming from and guess you would like some warm sunny clear water days to enjoy her in the early days! :D
