Gales on the way - be prepared

by MartynG » 08 Feb 2020, 08:51

Forecast is windy later and blowing a gale tomorrow.
Looking out of the window just now that's hard to believe..... but I am sure there is some truth in it.
Put an extra rope or two on !

I think down south Martin it could be more than a gale. BBC app shows 84mph winds in Southampton. Isn't that Hurricane force ?
Kind of glad my girl is on land right now.

Since the great storm of 1987 the BBC wind forecast for the south has been on the high side .

Met office and variuos models quote gusts up to 65 mph here but you can bet that'll be up to 75mph.

It's the quiet before the Storm again here.

I can feel the cooler air and the wind is picking up.
