Been discussing boat trailers .... new boat will have an SBS trailer.

SBS are advising they now use Lanolin spray onto hub mechanics ... has reported superior ‘
Life, unaffected by water.

Anybody used this ?

OMG, now you've mentioned it, it's an obvious choice. I think my mum used to buy Lanolin when it was used in soap production. I've always liked the idea of natural products and if you think about it, it comes from wool producing animals like sheep and is a natural water repellent.

I'm going to buy some before the price goes up.

Update ..... manufacturer is up for a forum discount ...... so lets see if enough interest here - anybody else ?

It seems a great product for brake mechanics, rods & cables, can be used on any mech or elec item that needs to be protected against water.
