Another weekend afloat - Where were we?

by sprocker » 10 Jul 2017, 10:30

We took advantage of another weekend of fantastic weather to get out of the marina again. Can anyone guess where we were?

Stunning scenery on the way out on Friday evening

Lovely entrance to this estuary

Nice little beaches in this area too

Lovely sunset view from our mooring, enjoyed with a glass or two of wine!

Perfect flat seas on the way home on Sunday, this is a notorious local 'rough patch'.

And the obligatory wake shot!

Unfortunately it's changed for the worse Ian, still a lovely little town with a decent range of eateries, watering holes and shops, but I here that many (if not most) of the housing is now weekend/holiday housing and is second only in price to Sandbanks.

Terrible situation for many locals who actually want to live and work there.

I see you've settled in nicely to the cruising life :D Great pics and scenery. Have you got faith in your anchor yet? Nothing beats finding that secluded bay, throwing out the hook, lighting the BBQ and watching the stars at night
