Metal polishing

by Warpa » 11 Jun 2017, 13:12

My boat was the same after a full wet sand, so smooth and shiny it didn't need a polish every year. My car is the same

Hi Martin,

Do they also do minor repairs to the prop before polishing?

I am just acquiring a stainless 17" prop and it has a few nicks in the leading/trailing edges...

Nick

No sorry , they are polishing specialists only. Place is full of everything imaginable being polished, including Tornado rear fin being made into a table.

Steel developments will repair your prop.

Interestingly they do not advocate polishing ... I asked then about it, they said no as it removes metals and weakens prop.

I do polish my props to keep clean ... but not to mirror finish.
