Insurance

by shibbs » 27 Jul 2019, 06:43

Insurance sorted. Went with porthcawl. Great price and really helpful staff. Save half of what my renewal was and seems the cover is better also.
Fingers crossed I won’t need it.
Thanks for all the input.

Hi guys, I just wanted to say a quick thanks to you all .

My insurance renewal with GJW came in at over £20 dearer than last year, so I did some shopping around. I must say that they have always been fairly good with there prices and their cover seems good too, albeit you never really know how good an insurance company is until you use them for a claim.

Consequently following your recommendations I got a quote from Porthcawl Insurance Consultants for the same cover at over £45 cheaper and only £10 for legal cover too.

Signed

It’s 2/3rd of the way across the Atlantic ... should pick up by end of the month.
Met SBS trailers at Southampton show, as they are doing a slightly modified SBS R4/2600 twin axle for the new toy.

Pics will arrive :-)

In typical form couldn’t wait for boat .... purchased a CAN-Bus based speed control for water sports, simple 2 wire connection to engine harness, no mech linkages, no servo.

Is that All !!

Mine went up 12 % which equated to an increase of £122 with Towergate, I was with GJW the year before as it was the MDL preferred insurer,
Tried GJW they were even more expensive  The speed of the Hunton is causing the problems
And the fact that I do not have any formal qualifications but have 16 claim free years boating
