Steady on old boy! No excuse for that kind of behavior

Now her indoors has been watching a place in the sun and she has got me thinking about buying a property in Spain, Taking one of my Fletchers there and staying for a month or 2 to get away from the awful weather we seem to get in the UK. You can get a nice little place with a drive for a speed boat for about £70,000.
Makes me think

Hmm now that's not a bad idea Dennis! I think she could be onto something there! :D

I am sure some will talk about it being a lake boat and the sea keeping not so good but not sure if this is true or not

I really don't think there's much between them in terms of seakeeping so i wouldn't worry about that, you probably wouldn't want to be out in anything over f4 with both of them. The bayliner with a petrol would be more powerful and quicker than the sealine, and as you will have seen you can pick up a newer boat for the same money as a sealine. Of course the Sealine will be more popular with a diesel but if your only doing short jaunts on the River Deben and occasional sea trips then i wouldn't rule out a petrol as i don't see a big difference in cost in fuel.

As for the sidedecks/walkthrough windscreens argument working in this industry means I'm on different boats everyday so i don't really have a problem with either. Some sidedecks i find awkward and dangerous with limited grab handles. I prefer walking through windscreen as its a lot quicker to get to the bow if needed and it feels safer to me that climbing round a narrow sidedeck.
