Hi Dennis
I suspect you might be thinking this but in my opinion and it is only an opinion, The Bayliner Ciera is not as well appointed as the Sea Ray Sundancer. However I can see the benefits for you as a second boat used for the Broads. I would say that the ones I've seen are well built and are well laid out for their size. Good accommodation with good entertaining space.
For a '97 2355 (23.5 footer) its about the right asking price, but because of its smaller engine. You've said it looks ok, therefore it would now depend upon condition.
I agree with James about the power for flat out running, but also I'm guessing you're thinking about the running costs especially at low revs for Broads cruising and occasional blasts on the sea, but I don't know if the 4.3 will give you a massive difference in economy than a 5.0 or a 5.7 at low speeds.
If I were looking for a cruising boat, I would still look for a boat that has a diesel engine, which is partially designed for river cruising, but could be used for coastal waters. Unless of course you are happy with a little digging into your pockets for fuel costs on the Broads, in which case buy a BIG engine boat.
