Bavaria 300 Sport twin KAD 32's

by Ianfs » 20 Jul 2015, 14:38

Having looked at the Sunseeker 32, I was unable to stand upright in the cabin and the engines were a concern for both servicing and repairs but we liked her. We liked the Sealine 25, economical, great cabin layout and cockpit, but she rocked a little when on her, the proof of the pudding would be in the sea trial.

However I've just found this, does anyone know anything about Bavaria's boats? This looks like a great combination to me. :)

I like the Bavs, they are made to a good standard and are very solid on the water. That would be a great boat by the looks of it.

They make a decent yacht, presuming it's the same company. I think they are more the budget end of the yacht market vs. Moody or Halberg Rassey etc.

I had a look round a couple of their 30 ft ish boats at the boat show the year before last and remember being very impressed at the standard of finish. Must be worth a look..

I'm sure the dealer was based at Hamble le Rice although I'm talking over 10 years ago. They do look the part but I also like the Doral

I've always really liked the look of them on the outside but have never been impressed with the finish of the interior. Very basic IMHO. Still think they are lovely looking boat, also do a single diesel if I'm not mistaken.

Interesting, do you think the pictures are deceiving and the Maple and Sapele laminates are not that good? :?

Also, it says has Webasto diesel heating along with Corian work surfaces in the main cabin, head and wet bar (on deck).

my comment was mainly based on the new models I have seen and been on I really like the Bavaria 28 Sport, had a look around it at the boat show. I love the exterior styling and cockpit just found it basic in the cabin, then again I had only just walked off a Princess V39 so that may have had something to do with it. It wouldnt stop me buying one as they have been on my 'one day' shortlist for a while.

Oh ok, see what you mean. :)

Sometimes pictures look good then someone sets you right, so I thought you may have meant there was a bit of theatrical going on.

I know what you mean, because we looked at the late boats and thought the Sessa 38 was the best styled of the size a few years ago.

I really like the outlay, look and interior of this boat. The twin KAD 32's are not as powerful as the Yamaha's in the Sunny 32 but I'm thinking that cost of servicing and economy might be better.
