Upholsterer - not on the south coast :)

by NikTheGeek » 06 Apr 2015, 16:57

I understand why virtually every upholsterer is on the south coast, but can anyone recommend one within easy travelling distance of Wigan? I want a bow infill cushion making up. CJ Marine said they'd do it, but want a template and I've no idea how accurately I could make one - I'd prefer to trail the boat to someone, leave it a few days and pick it up all done.

Unless you think it's a doable DIY job?

tnx

Would you consider buying a piece of cushion foam and then cutt it to the correct shape / size yourself and then just getting it covered by someone for a decent finish?
Small shavings at a time and it would certainly be doable to at least shape it?
Just my thoughts.. :)

Nick
Did you ever get the in fill cushion made. It would be interesting to see it and find out why you wanted it.

Was it for camping with the kids or for a sunbed?
