We have moved to Swanwick Marina on the Hamble, for this season at least, they have spent a lot of money upgrading the facilities including building a new Drystack. We are currently on a ground rack as with the canopies up we are too tall to live in the multi-level rack.
Looking at the background to the first photo we are living with the big boys now, or are they looking down their noses...
Fuel pontoon and pump-out within 50 feet of the launching point so can't complain about that.

Missing you already :(

So will you need to get another cover or are they don't something to the rack to get you in?

We had our first proper launch on Monday, I asked them to wait until I arrived as I took the fenders home to clean them.
We had to wait a while but were in the water within 15minutes or our original plan.
They are not as slick as Saxon yet, however it is early days yet. There are a lot of boats in the way and we had to launch and go and leave the boat around the corner when we returned, which suited us for lunch but they will have to tow or drive around to the lifting pontoon, and I didn't tell them where the battery switch is!!!!
the next one will be more of a proper test. The rack is by no means full so I think they will take time to work out a system as it fills up.

Incidentally, their new pump out facility is chargeable even to berth holders, does anyone know if the one down at the Harbourmasters office at Warsash is still operational??

Paul, Jorida looks like she is showing her heals to the big boys and looks quite at home with them! :D

In the first and third picture though she looks lop sided but in the middle pic straight!! :?

Hope you get on well there, looks like a great place. :)

The timber joists are more upright than at Saxon with a relatively small bevel. The hull rests on a fairly sharp edge and is not so easy to get the boat level. She was definitely on a tilt when the photos were taken. I have not been there when she has been lifted out so I am not in control of having her correctly bunked.
Facilities are very good but there will be a lot going on during the summer, starting with a little boat show next weekend, when I say little, the show is little, compared to Southampton/London but the boats will be big, Princess, SunSqueaker and Fairline etc.
