Not a bad seat for a view of the Airshow ... was a little choppy, so video a tad shaky.

Other years we have stayed out for whole show ..... but decided due to tides to watch the start, go do some skiing and recover before slip dries out. We got to see Battle of Britain Memorial flight as we were sorting boat out at launch site ..... the best for me is the Typhoon display, what a plane.

Are the Typhoon. Early issues often lead to everyone thinking they were unreliable. However type 2's were good over 400mph and known as the tank / train buster. Very strong lots of amour.

My father developed radar, my grandfather built Mosquitos and my father in law flew them for the Banff Strike Wing under Max Aitken in WWII.

Interesting fact. Max Aitken was the leading force, after the war, for initiating the Cowes - Torquay power boat race.

Mosquito was my favorite WW2 plane .... faster than the spitfire, over 400mph for a WW2 plane ! and so multi rolled daytime tactical bomber, high-altitude night bomber, pathfinder, day or night fighter, fighter-bomber, intruder, maritime strike aircraft.

Must be a beast to hear .... twin V12 1720hp Merlins ....

Interesting fact about Mosquito v12s , they only have 5 exhausts per bank. Consequently some people thought them to be v10s.
Something to do with the mounting and cowel mod 2 cylinders into one exhaust.
